If tempered glass cannot be cut, why are there shards of glass in the box with my shower doors
The shower glass says ''tempered there are 3 holes drilled, there are fresh
scratches on the glass and shards which are up to 3'' long and paper thin,
and noticable places on the edges where these shards came from; anyone
know what is up? Can these edges be polished out and not disintegrate into
one or two million smaller shower doors when polished or when they get a
load of thermal shock in use?
I've not heard tempered glass cannot be cut. What you have is
an item to return to the store for replacement. No guarantee polishing
chipped spots will work or not shatter the whole door. Thermal shock
shatters glass with quick temperature change from cold to hot or hot to
cold.
